Ordinary Day 02:31
There's nothing special about today. Let's see what comes my way. I've got nothing special planned. No promises. No demands. I woke up to the sound of falling raindrops five minutes before my alarm clock. Dragged myself up out of bed for a breakfast of scrambled eggs. This is an ordinary day. There's nothing in particular special about this one. I shave, I shower, and I gargle mouthwash. Take a minute to wind my wristwatch. Put on my suit and I grab my briefcase. Hit the car for the morning race. This is an ordinary day. There's nothing in particular special about this one.

Will this meeting ever end? I watch the clock. It's not my friend. Will this meeting ever end?

Out on a pleasant lunchtime walk. The sky an impossible blue. Everything surrounding me is perfectly in tune. Who knows when I'll return? I've no concerns. Out on a lunchtime promenade. The birds sing a song in the trees. My heart so full of life and love for everything I see. I know this cannot last. I must go back. Who knows when I'll return? I'll always yearn. Out on a pleasant lunchtime walk. The sunlight so tight on my skin. I leave behind a trail of light everywhere I've been. Who knows when I'll return? I've no concerns. Who knows when I'll return? I'll always yearn.

It's time to grab a snack. Put a little something in your cup. Get a little something. Fill you up. A cup of soup or maybe fries. An apple fritter caught my eye. Sandwich and a bag of chips. Wing-a-dings or chicken strips. I could go for sloppy Joe and chase it down with cookie dough. Fondue and a Mountain Dew. Gazpacho, nachos, cupcakes too. Creme brûlée, a fish filet, parfait, sorbet, curds and whey. I guess I could go for crepes or maybe just a bunch of grapes. A handful of nuts. Something that is noodle-based or something with tomato paste. Healthy like a tangerine or crunchy like a leafy green. Ants on a log. I can't decide what would hit the spot. So I will stop at my favorite shop.

The music stops when I walk through the door and I forget what I came here for. I know I'm not where I should be because everyone's staring right at me.
7.
I think he's a robot, man. Everything is robots as far as I can see. Everything is robots and they're coming after me. I hear their motors whirring underneath their skin. See their eyes a-focusing the cameras within. Their moves are herky-jerky and they can't bend at the knee. Everyone is robots and they're coming after me.

On the Run 03:32
I'm on the run from everything and everyone.

Hideaway 04:28
A highway sign looking for a car like mine. A gray four-door. The license plate it lists is mine. So I ditch my car and run and hide. I don't know where ... which way to go. And I don't care. 'Cause I'm hiding. And they won't ever find me. I hear my name on the wind. They're calling out to me again and again. Searching flashlights dance on the leaves. I have disappeared among the trees. I go deeper in the woods until I'm gone for good. 'Cause I'm hiding. And they won't ever find me. One day I spy a squirrel. It turns to me and something clicks.

That's not a squirrel. I don't know what that is. But that's not a squirrel. Everywhere I go I see fake animals following me. Tracking me back and fro. See their eyes. How they glow. They glow. Try to lose them. Try to run. All around me. Everyone. But they never get to close. Keep their distance. I don't know. But they glow. I know what I see. Fake fur stretched over a metal skeleton.

Things have a way of working out. If I stay afloat and keep my chin up things have a way of working out. I won't run away. I'll stand right here and face whatever comes my way. I'm thankful for today. 'Cause I'm back on solid ground. I'll find a way to hang around. I'll stay in the game and keep my chin up. I'll find a way to hang around. I won't run away. I'll hold myself against whatever comes my way. I'll level my best defense. 'Cause I'm back on solid ground.

I woke up to the sound of robot chitters. Artificial forest critters. They gather all around me and we sing in harmony. This is an ordinary day. There's nothing in particular special about this one. I wash up in the creek and make three wishes. Say, "Good morning!" to my favorite fishes. Forage breakfast and gather kindling. Every day is a new beginning. This is an ordinary day. There's nothing in particular special about this one.
